GIFT's Global Advisory Council is a select group of business and academic leaders from around the world committed to supporting GIFT with its mission of advancing a deeper understanding of global issues through its unique approach to executive learning and development.
By advising GIFT's management team and by engaging in its leadership programmes as keynote speakers and mentors, Council members enhance GIFT's profile, resources, and effectiveness to support the organisation with its next stage of strategic development.

David Eldon retired as Chairman of HSBC Asia Pacific and as a main board Director of HSBC Holdings in 2005 after 37 years with the HSBC Group in the Middle and Far East. He returned to HSBC in 2011 and is non-executive Chairman of HSBC Middle East as well as subsidiary Boards in Egypt and Turkey. He is Chairman of Octopus Cards Ltd in Hong Kong a member of the Dubai International Financial Centre Higher Board, and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB). David was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star by the Government of Hong Kong SAR (2004) and an Honorary Citizen of Seoul in recognition of his work for the city.
PROF. HIDEAKI 'HIDEH' TAKAHASHI

Takahashi majored in EE and Computer Science in Japan and U.S. He worked as a senior corporate executive at NCR, AT&T in the U.S. and Fuji Xerox in Japan. At mid-50’s he stopped full time work and went multi track career. Takahashi started teaching at Keio University Graduate School. Concurrently he also served as a non-executive board member of companies like NEC, ORIX and others. On a non-profit front he was on the advisory boards of the National Science Museum and a few universities in Japan for over 10 years. Currently he enjoys advising young IT and social entrepreneurs as well as sharing his experience at few executive leadership sessions.

Priti Devi has been a Business Strategy, Government & External Affairs and Sustainable Development specialist for over two decades. She has strong international experience working on environmental, social and developmental issues in a number of countries across the globe. She spent a decade with Shell International in various roles stationed across the world. More recently, she headed the successful growth of a global foundation for a private investor based in Singapore that focuses on the use of Arts as a tool to drive social change, encouraging greater inclusiveness and building social equity for some of the poorest communities in developing countries.
Priti Devi brings to corporate accountability and structure to philanthropic endeavours. Her philosophy is that for sustained social change, all development and social investment projects need to build human, economic and social capital, essential for a more balanced and equitable world.
SANDIAGA SALAHUDDIN UNO

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno was one of Indonesia’s most prominent young entrepreneurs and active in the Indonesian business communities. He is the co-founder of PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk., the first and the largest publicly listed active investment company in Indonesia and served as a President Director 2004 - 2015. In April 2015, he began a new journey to serve and support Indonesia’s economic development. He led the development of The Greater Indonesia Movement Party’s economic platform for Indonesia as a Vice Chair Advisory Board 2015 – 2018 and served as Deputy Governor of Jakarta from October 2017 to August 2018.
Sandiaga is a PhD candidate at Universitas Pelita Harapan (Indonesia), focusing on Strategic Management. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University (USA), where he is a Distinguished Research Professor in Residence, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with the highest distinction from Wichita State University (USA).
MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS, BASF SE
Since 2014, Sanjeev Gandhi has been a Member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for the Asia Pacific region and the global Chemicals segment, consisting of the Petrochemicals and Intermediates operating divisions. From 2010 to May 2014 he was President of the Intermediates division, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Prior to this, he held a variety of management positions in Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, and Tokyo.
Sanjeev Gandhi was born in Mumbai, India, in 1966. He studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Pune, India, where he received his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, followed by a Master in Business Administration (Marketing).
