Ali Borhani

Managing Director of 3Sixty Strategic Advisors Ltd, and Co-Founder & Co-Host of BRI Dialogues

Ali Borhani is the Managing Director of 3Sixty Strategic Advisors Ltd, a boutique advisory firm specialising in growth and market entry strategies in emerging markets. Most recently, Ali together with Nenad Pacek co-authored a special report titled The Rise of Chinese Multinationals: The Impact on Incumbent “Western”Multinationals Now & in the Future” (click to see a preview). This report clarifies how Chinese firms have become such formidable but also abnormal competitors, what Western multinationals can do about it, and the future of China and Chinese competition. It includes summaries of formal interviews with senior leaders of 30 large “Western” multinationals, but also insights from hundreds of more informal conversations with corporate clients over the last decade.

Ali is a geopolitical strategist and trusted advisor to global blue-chip multinationals, family businesses, and forward-leaning boardrooms. Known as a contrarian voice with clarity, he helps leaders cut through the noise, identify what truly matters, and position themselves early—before the headlines catch up.

He co-founded and co-hosts the acclaimed BRI Dialogues podcast series in collaboration with Durham University. The show brings together world-class experts, policymakers, and academics to dissect China’s Belt and Road Initiative and its global implications—from finance to infrastructure, energy to diplomacy. He has also recently begun a new blog titled “FuturEarly”, cutting through noise to spot signals and surface emerging trends as a “Future Early” guide at the edge of geopolitics.

At the nexus of geopolitics, geoeconomics, and shifting global power, Ali offers more than insight—he delivers foresight. CEOs and investors alike turn to him as their “Future Early” guide—navigating complexity, decoding macro signals, and spotting emerging trends while others are still stuck in yesterday’s news.

He has lived and worked on three continents and will be joining from London.
