Prof. Chunmei Du

Head & Associate Professor, Department of History, Lingnan University

Professor Chunmei Du is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of History at Lingnan University, where she provides academic leadership and oversees the department’s teaching and research initiatives. She is a distinguished scholar of modern Chinese intellectual and cultural history, with research interests in gender studies, global history, and China–U.S. relations.

Professor Du earned her Ph.D. from Princeton University and is a prolific author, with notable publications including Everyday Occupation: American Soldiers and Chinese Civilians after World War IIGu Hongming’s Eccentric Chinese Odyssey, and the forthcoming Rape in Peking: Injured Woman, Global Trial, and China-U.S. Sexual Politics.
