Jeremy B. Bentham is currently Chair (Scenarios) at the World Energy Council and a senior advisor to several international organisations, such as the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. After over 40 years in the energy industry, he recently retired as the long-serving head of the Shell Scenarios team and a leader of company strategy. He served as a commissioner on the Energy Transitions Commission, was the first Chair of the European Commission’s Advisory Council on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, and is currently a Senior Fellow with the Mission Possible Partnership. He brings extensive insights into energy transitions and their consequences for business and policy development in the face of radical uncertainties.
Since retiring from corporate life, he has also authored several book contributions and articles covering wise decision-making in turbulent times, business leadership in times of transition, and the significance of women’s empowerment for a healthy planet.
